This monographic essay examines the emulation of saxophone legato on the electric guitar through a technical and interpretative study of B-Sting, composed by Brandon Fields. Since the original score does not include explicit articulation markings characteristic of wind instruments, an adapted approach based on hammer-on and pull-off techniques is proposed. These resources make it possible to transfer the fluidity of saxophonic phrasing to the idiomatic context of a plucked-string instrument. The research develops three central components: the historical and stylistic background of funk-jazz, a formal, harmonic, and melodic analysis of the work, and the application of technical devices that support an interpretation consistent with the aesthetics of the genre. The study demonstrates that legato operates not only as a technical mechanism but also as an expressive resource that maintains continuity, timbral cohesion, and melodic clarity when saxophone lines are adapted to the guitar. Furthermore, a methodological proposal is offered for guitarists interested in incorporating wind-instrument articulations into their performance practice. Overall, this work provides interpretative and pedagogical insights that enrich the understanding of contemporary funk-jazz from the perspective of the electric guitar.es_CO
