Compartment syndrome amputation is a therapeutic option to alleviate pain and prevent further damage in the affected limb of a dog with this condition. Compartment syndrome occurs when pressure in the soft tissues of a limb increases to dangerous levels, which can damage nerves, blood vessels, and muscles. If pain and dysfunction persist after conservative interventions such as analgesic therapy and physiotherapy, amputation may be necessary to improve the animal's quality of life. Recovery after amputation is quick, and most dogs adapt well to their new situation, as well as in the case of Muñeca, a mixed-breed dog presented at the Small Animal Clinic of the University of Pamplona with a fracture in one of her posterior limbs due to a trauma caused by being run over, said patient corresponds to the clinical case described in this paper, where the reasons for which the amputation of the limb was carried out and not the conservation of the same, in addition the complete approach of the case is detailed from the consultation to the medical discharge.es_CO
