The fall armyworm, S. frugiperda, is an agricultural pest of global importance. Populations of this species have lost susceptibility to all chemical groups of insecticides used for its control, including Bacillus thuringiensis toxins. Despite this, in Colombia there are few studies that have studied the susceptibility of populations of this species to the insecticides used for its control. Therefore, in this study the susceptibility of four populations of S. frugiperda from different geographic locations in Colombia (Casanare, Pamplonita, Cacota and Bucaramanga) to the active ingredients B. thuringiensis, Fipronil, Chlorpyrifos, Thiamethoxam + Lambda-cyhalothrin, Thiamethoxam, Lambda-cyhalothrin, Methomyl and Emamectin benzoate was characterized. The results indicate that all populations show low susceptibility to the insecticide with active ingredient B. thuringiensis and moderate and high susceptibility to the other insecticides. This contrasts with undocumented reports of resistance in the fields of farmers and technical assistants to S. frugiperda in the regions where the populations were collected. The results are discussed in terms of management of S. frugiperda resistance to the insecticides used for its control.es_CO
