Abstract

This work was carried out with the aim of promoting knowledge about gender identity through educational podcasts to guide and claim the concept and importance of equality within the development of the human being, using a method that would allow the exploration of the different interpretations socially constructed, starting from the descriptive given that, it is a topic that generates controversy. When talking about identity, many think that it covers only the term feminine and masculine, even going so far as to ramble on issues of sexual orientation. To confront taboos and significantly purge misleading concepts that hurt susceptibilities, life stories, special reports, debates and unstructured interviews with experts are taken as examples that allow thinking free of prejudice and social inequality. It is recommended to continue with the investigation for a broader knowledge given the extent of the subject, since there is still less inclusion and more rejection within gender diversity causing some psychological problems to the point of attacking oneself, on the other hand, disseminating information that contribute to autonomous and collective learning. As a modality in the middle, the radio enters as an educational instrument capable of raising awareness and influencing more people with its messages thanks to its reach, taking necessary information to the most remote places. Therefore, the educational podcasts were made as a series of eight broadcasts that allowed their variants to delve into the subject, with SoundCloud being the digital platform used for its dissemination.
