    Abstract: The following research aims to describe the psychosocial impact of being a teenage mother, by conducting a comparative case study in which the effects of being a teenage mother from the rural and urban areas of the Department of Norte de Santander Methodology: qualitative study, with descriptive - phenomenological approach. Population and sample: two teenage mothers under 18, one from the rural area of the Municipality of Cácota and another from the Municipality of Pamplona, urban area. Results: it is possible to describe the psychosocial impact and make the respective comparison of the effects generated by being a mother at an early age, finding conclusions: the psychosocial impact that could be found throughout the investigation is evidenced in each of the sub-categories where the process of differently related aspects such as the thought of abortion when knowing the news of pregnancy and seeing the baby love for the welfare of the same.
    Description: La siguiente investigación tiene como objetivo describir el impacto psicosocial de ser madre adolescente, por medio de la realización de un estudio de caso comparativo en el cual se evidencian los efectos en de ser madre adolescente desde la zona rural y zona urbana del Departamento de Norte de Santander. Metodología: estudio cualitativo, con enfoque descriptivo – fenomenológico. Población y muestra: dos madres adolescentes menores de 18 años, una de zona rural del Municipio de Cacota y otra del Municipio de Pamplona, casco urbano. Resultados: se logra describir el impacto psicosocial y hacer la respectiva comparación de los efectos generados por ser madre a temprana edad, encontrando conclusiones: el impacto psicosocial que se pudo encontrar a lo largo de la investigación se evidencia en cada una de las sub-categorías donde el proceso de dio de manera distinta relacionado aspectos como el pensamiento de abortar al momento de conocer la noticia del embarazo y al ver al bebé amor por el bienestar del mismo.
