Abstract

Dreams are a huge world full of memories, emotions, moments, people, a mirror of the real world. Based on this interest, the artist proposes a research project to delve into the world of dreams, in order to find a way to make visible the surreal that remains in the world of the subconscious. In this way, she decides to bring the emotions that are experienced in dreaming, translating them into an artistic work uniting art and dream, thus creating a living representation of the inner and outer self. Within this creative research work, an installation made up of illustrations full of surreal figures from the dreams of the artist is made, highlighting the technique of surrealism in them. At first, research by psychologists such as Sigmund Freud is taken into account, and thus thoroughly understand the subject and creates an environment according to dreaming, capable of sustaining the work and its illustrations. On the other hand, in a second moment, the ability to daydream is evidenced, having an immersion experience in the dark, achieving the strong emotions that are experienced in dreams, playing consciously with memories and imagination.
