El paso de una generación migrante.

Abstract

Migration is a scourge that increasingly affects border countries of nations that frequently face political and social economic problems. Which affect the people residing in these territories, generating pressure that influences the decision taken by the subjects to migrate trying to find a way to improve their situation. In August 2015, President Nicolás Maduro pushed the first block of deportees that reached a figure of 22,000 people, this was one of the triggers of the migration crisis to Colombia. He points out the former Foreign Ministry of this country. (Weather, 2018) This influenced that a permanent mobilization to the municipality of Pamplona was generated by immigrants arriving from Venezuela, the social leader of the Pamplona refuge, Martha Duque, says “that 500 and 800 people enter are passing through this place daily”. Most of these people are young people, who do not see insurance and soon return to their country, living on the options that life presents, without any fixed point to look at, but where the opportunity to work presents itself. This audiovisual project collects the images and interviews of this migrant population, and its objective is to raise awareness, about their daily lives and the conditions of abandonment and poverty that they have to endure.
