    Abstract: The purpose of this research project is to study the historical characterization of the mobility corridor of the Cúcuta Railway Company - Border Line, with the aim of highlighting the historical role of the Railway and other modern transport systems in the process of constitution of the Metropolitan Area of the capital of the Department of Norte de Santander.
    Description: La fase de este proyecto de investigación tiene como finalidad la identificación de los hechos físicos urbano-arquitectónicos aportados por las dinámicas introducidas por la Compañía del Ferrocarril de Cúcuta al finalizar el siglo XIX, sumadas a los elementos físicos – geográficos e hídricos- que integran el emplazamiento de la ciudad de Cúcuta. Se espera destacar el papel histórico del Ferrocarril y otros sistemas modernos de transporte en el proceso de constitución del Área Metropolitana de la capital del Departamento de Norte de Santander.
