Abstract

The exports of SMEs in the leather industry are limited, however, these organizations are important since they act as mitigators of unemployment and therefore of poverty, but a large participation of people who have a low or medium level of education is reflected. , which is an unfavorable factor when talking about sustainability and integrating in the same methodologies that promote order, coordination, problem solving that are important to what continuous improvement refers to. These methodologies are important for the relationships between the organization and interested parties, as well as for the increase in sales, which leads to a favorable financial status for employers. On the other hand, it creates the need to improve the quality of its products and this is how in the leather goods sector, taking into account the above, it will reduce waste in economic resources, labor and supplies. For this reason, this document states that the tools guided by the standardization of the discipline lead to improving quality and productivity in leather manufacturing, consequently, this could be a resource to achieve competitive advantages in the face of growing globalization.
