Abstract

The purpose of this investigation project is to inquire on the created image by the queer non-binary artist Sebastián Camilo Sánchez Villamizar by registering its trans experience between years 2015 and 2022 in Pamplona, Norte de Santander, being this an answer to a individual and particular question which has been permeated by a context which is extremely catholic, conservator, patriarchal, colonized and apparent, where is necessary to use the stylistic resources owned by pamplonese heritage; that register flows in an strenuous photographic work, in which the same artist is the model, the photographer, the designer, makeup artist, hairdresser, editor, writer, curator, carpenter between other interdisciplinary work which converge in an only final product, the methodology to use has muted through the years, starting being qualitative, passing by art based investigation, and according to a disagreement with the process, nowadays it starts from that one but differs on the stages its formed by, the pre-production, production and post production. This research’s trouble roots on the body-created image, more specifically the building of the self-portrait, being the purpose of this document to register through the photography how by using makeup you can manipulate the image and through it, to present a fluent non-binary identity.
