Abstract

This research has photography as its main tool, being used to criticize the neglect and abandonment by the government of rural schools, working specifically on the limitations in infrastructure, with issues such as access roads, technology, drinking water, spaces recreational, school transportation, etc., this with the aim of making this problem known and visible to the general population, until reaching those people who are not aware that this type of situation occurs in rural education in our country. Most of the rural schools have multiple limitations in terms of infrastructure and after carrying out a previous investigation, three schools belonging to the Palmarito Educational Center, located in the municipality of Fortul Arauca, were chosen. These schools are located in different villages, there only basic primary is worked and each one has 10 to 14 students. The end result is an in-depth photo report that is made known to the general public through a digital photo book, which has the ISBN code assigned by the Colombian Book Chamber. Each of the photographs are in black and white, with the participation of the main victims of the problem investigated, with whom we worked dynamically to learn in depth what the limitations that they observed in their schools really were. In this research, we can work with a contrast that starts from the ideas and the observation collected during the visits to each of these communities, such as the idea of knowing what the dream school of each of the children is like and the girls who attend these schools, the above compared to the reality they live, from there comes the idea of the name that this photo book receives: The school of my dreams, the reality of my school.
