Práctica profesional como auxiliar de ingeniero residente estructural en la construcción de tres torres de apartamentos a cargo de soluciones civiles S.A. en la Ciudad de Medellín.

Abstract

This project deals with the completion of my undergraduate work to opt for the title of Civil Engineering as a Resident Structural Engineer assistant, in the form of professional practice in the construction of THREE TOWERS OF APARTMENTS IN CHARGE OF THE EMPRESA SOLUCIONES CIVILES S.A. of the city of Medellín, Antioquia, which is a construction company with a presence in different municipalities of the Aburrá Valley, during its years of existence it has delivered 21 works which have had both occupational and commercial purposes, currently it is in charge of 12 works Also with different purposes, one of these works is Villa Terra located in the Guayabal sector of the city of Medellín, which was started in March 2019 and has an estimated completion date of February 2023. In the Villa Terra project, It gave me the opportunity to carry out my professional internships as a Resident Structural Engineer assistant. Although at the beginning my activities were based specifically on supporting the Resident Structural Engineer, over time I was assigned the responsibility of leading the development of stage IV of the parking lot, which consisted of the execution of 3 parking floors, in addition to two tanks and at the foundation level of the block. At this stage, I was in charge of calculating the quantities, scheduling the work, as well as supervising the correct development of the activities and including the activities carried out in the work budget that the company managed with the help of the PACO software. With the development of these practices, I acquired my first experience in the field of Civil Engineering, it was 4 months of sadness, joy, discouragement and motivation, almost always in that order because there were so many things under my responsibility that I thought it would not be capable, but with the help and guidance of my family, friends, teachers, superiors, and even the people I led, I was able to finish this important stage of my life in the best way. Now with regard to the execution of this stage, it is important to note that, at the end of my stay in the company, I had a good performance of the same, with everything that there have been delays due to the constant rains at the beginning of the stage, something that it can be remedied by hiring more staff. On June 11, the final day of my stage as an intern in Civil Engineering at the company SOLUCIONES CIVILES SA, I say goodbye to my entire work team, in my mind there are good things about such an organized company that is an example in the city of Medellín, I can highlight from it that it has many things that I had not seen during my academic stage, I highlight that it has a concrete production plant which is pre-mixed in the same work, in addition to this I highlight the compliance with Colombian regulations, both on safety and health at work, as well as on the subject of construction, this with the performance of tests on the soil, concrete, as well as the verification of the quality of the materials that arrive from their suppliers.
