Descripción del manejo agronómico del cultivo de arándanos (vaccinium corymbosum l.) variedades biloxy,legacy en el municipio de Mutiscua Departamento de Norte De Santander.

Abstract

The situation of the rural area, in the socio-economic part of the department of Norte de Santander located in the northeastern region of Colombia at the regional level is currently in crisis, due to lack of employment for the most needy population. At the national level it has the highest unemployment rate in the country. Stable work opportunities for people in the region are very scarce, and the development of an agricultural project in the cultivation of blueberries in the municipality of Mutiscua, where their main income is the planting of traditional vegetables, tubers such as potatoes, roots such as arracacha, in addition to other forms of income such as livestock and rainbow trout fish farming. The cultivation of blueberries was recently introduced to the country. The main idea of this project to establish a crop is to generate employment and introduce a new fruit in the agronomic field to market in the national and departmental market. With this innovative agricultural idea, blueberry cultivation will be implemented, leaving good economic gains due to the results of experiences in other Latin American countries such as Peru, and Chile. And that indicate possibilities of high agronomic yields, for the area known as the Santandereana mountain. The internal market of Norte De Santander, is handling low volumes of production with this fruit, because the crop, so far is being established in the region. In the country there are three departments that have established and in production this crop, which are: Antioquia, Boyacá and Cundinamarca (located in the Cundiboyacense highlands), the establishment of this crop in Mutiscua, and diversify the agricultural offer of the rural area As there are no official records of this crop in the Pamplona region, the first thing that will be done is to promote the distribution of the product obtained from the plots, at the national level,

with this initiative it could be said, that it will no longer depend solely on traditional crop systems, when more income reaches the peasant producer. Secondly, a market study of this fruit will be carried out at the level of the province of Pamplona, where it will be determined if it is desired by the final consumers, and how it arrives in the production chain to the city and, from which part of Colombia. In addition to how it is marketed and how it is distributed by the municipality, in the agro-chain, and how much profitability can be obtained with the fruit harvested on the farms of the municipality.
