La diáspora venezolana: Perspectivas teóricas y consideraciones económicas sobre el proceso de integración en Colombia.

Abstract

The increasing arrival of Venezuelan citizens to Colombian territory, fuels the urgency of being able to interpret its origins, current configuration and what is in store for Colombia as a receiving country starting from the premise that it is a conjunctural event generated by deplorable structural foundations of the neighboring country that show no signs of reversing it at least in the medium term and adding the challenge that the Colombian migratory policies have to face for being somehow the first time in its history that these migratory movements of such magnitude take place. Another element to highlight is that this arrival of Venezuelan immigrants does not respond to the "theories" that try to frame the origins of migrations considering that it should not be observed from a simplistic perspective in cataloging it as a forced migration because there is evidence that this situation is not temporary and increasingly has more implications than expected.
