N: The purpose of this research was to create an evidence-based clinical practice guide for the communicative management of patients with ALS. METHODS: a literature review was carried out in different databases, afterwards the level of evidence and degree of clinical recommendation was analyzed, according to GRADE and CEBM of Oxford. Parallel to the review, a descriptive methodology was used where the evaluation and intervention management processes carried out within the clinical practice of the National University were identified and recorded. RESULTS AND ANALYSIS: The findings include (1) well-documented characteristics of the management of dysarthria in ALS, (2) the usefulness of evaluation methods such as neurological, acoustic, behavioral examination, and the measurement of speech rate to predict intelligibility decreases and thus form the moment of intervention, (3) emerging evidence of the long-term usefulness of augmentative and alternative communication systems CONCLUSIONS: The creation of a clinical practice guide is much more than a clinical management tool, it allows to carry out higher quality evaluations and interventionses_CO
