La identidad ocupacional y el rol de madre en internas privadas de la libertad.

Abstract

Considering that occupational identity is constantly changing by growth and experience, the process of occupational choice is continuous and dynamic, so it is ready to adapt. At that time from occupational therapy it arises the need to determine the relationship between occupational identity and the role of mother and how it is being affected. Data collection was done through bibliographic review, background and interviews; additionally it will be applied as a preset instrument The Historical Interview of Occupational Performance (OPHI II), The research is exploratory, descriptive-explanatory and correlational, will be developed with the population of recluse who are mothers of the Prison and Penitentiary Center of Cucuta and the sample will be 50 recluses both convicted and syndicated; therefore a quantitative design was established.After the assessment the most relevant results obtained were: 58% of the population presents extreme problems to establish interests, the 52% have not found satisfaction in their life, the 50% present some problems to comply the expectations of their roles which affects the performance of mothers role since they can’t carry out the responsibilities of this role, simultaneously that they don’t feel satisfaction with the activities and performed occupations makes it difficult for them to establish interests that promote feelings of efficiency and utility; however it is possible to establish that 44% of the population hopes to be successful in occupational life.
