Estatus fitosanitario del barrenador del tallo en el cultivo de mora-uva (rubus robustus c. presl), en el municipio de Pamplona,Norte de Santander.

Abstract

Pests and diseases have constantly afflicted various crops and thereby generate great economic losses to farmers in the region. Due to this fact, society has been obliged to thoroughly investigate these pests, their species, biological and reproductive cycle, phytosanitary status and thus present and implement adequate management and controls with which they manage to mitigate the effects caused to crops. Thus, in the municipality of Pamplona, there has been a need to investigate the so-called "stem borer" insect that directly attacks blackberry seedlings (Rubus robustus C. Presl). The present focused on determining the presence of the plague, analyzing its behavior, biological cycle, phytosanitary status and with this quantifying the incidence and severity in the crops in the municipalities. This through the application of surveys to farmers, collection of samples of plant material, incubation and observation of the pest. Demonstrating that it is a pest quite resistant to environmental changes, with an accelerated reproduction cycle which makes its management and control difficult, therefore, more in-depth studies are required to adequately define its classification and thus present an integrated management plan directed towards farmers.
