Tendencias emprendedoras y ecosistema emprendedor en la región de Coquimbo, Chile.

Abstract

The objective of the research was to analyze the entrepreneurial tendencies and the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the Region of Coquimbo, Chile. For the achievement of the research objectives, a statistical and documentary review of the GEM report of the Coquimbo Region was carried out from 2008 to 2016, after which the analysis was made, resulting in the entrepreneurial tendencies of the region, where It was evident that there is a high level of entrepreneurship in the region, where the main actors are men who decide to start their business based on economic and labor independence and the predominant sector is the Services Sector. Through the application of instruments such as the semi-structured interview with experts in the field of entrepreneurship, it was possible to determine the role played by each of the actors that make up the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the region, where it was established that the main actor that supports entrepreneurship it is the State, which through programs and subsidies gives the entrepreneur the opportunity to start his business and establish himself, also evidenced the important participation of higher education institutions that train entrepreneurs through seminars, trainings, fairs, festivals and congresses.
