| Abstract: | The approach performed on an entire male canine, approximately 7 years old, mixed breed, weighing 16.9 kg, is described, whose symptoms were disorientation, poor vision, conjunctivitis, blepharospasm, pruritus in the ocular area. The differential diagnoses of corneal ulcer, glaucoma and uveitis were proposed, and diagnostic aids were carried out such as the fluorescein test which showed the presence of deep corneal ulcers in both the right and left eyes, a blood count and a blood biochemistry. of creatinine which showed values between ranges. Therapeutic correction was performed consisting of performing a bilateral conjunctival flap surgical process using the pedicle coating technique, in both the right and left eyes. The patient was prescribed an outpatient post-operative pharmacological prescription, 5 control sessions to verify the healing of the conjunctival tissue and after this a second minimally invasive surgical session to cut the pedicle in a second time, both in the right and left eyes. , hoping as a result that the patient does not lose his ocular structure, the resolution of the symptoms presented initially and maintains the vision of his eyes. |
