| Abstract: | Water is an important and vital resource for human beings, whether it is for consumption or daily activities. Like any resource, it is not unlimited but quite the opposite and currently there is a great crisis around the world due to its scarcity. To this problem must be added the great contamination present in rivers, seas, and even wetlands, which make the seriousness of this situation more evident and which generates great concern about the water problem in future years. The environmental impact generates great changes that turn out to be negative, which is why the need to counteract or mitigate the negative impact arises, and this is where the importance of proper management of sewage or wastewater and its treatment comes in. Given that nowadays concern for the environment has been growing, people have sought natural alternatives and that the use of chemicals has decreased, and this field has not been the exception. Since the use of chemicals is essential to treat water in order to remove its contaminants, natural alternatives have been investigated that fulfill the same function, that generate the same results, but with less impact. In addition, the use of technologies such as nanorobotics has been implemented to reduce costs and optimize processes during treatment. |
