| Abstract: | Since ancient times, man has always seen the need to make the water he consumes drinkable for health reasons, since water in its natural state has: bacteria, microorganisms, organic and inorganic substances, which can affect the well-being of the population. causing gastrointestinal diseases that can lead to death if not treated in time. For this reason, human beings have seen the need to improve the conditions of the water they consume. Throughout history, methods have been implemented that have been perfected to provide your community with quality drinking water, the methods used are the following: coagulation, flocculation, decantation and filtration. The main objective of purifying water is the elimination of suspended solids, pathogens and the correction of the physicochemical characteristics of the water that make it unfit for consumption. In this research topic, the different types of coagulants, both natural and synthetic, and the different systems of flocculators that allow analyzing their optimal working times at the time of agglomerating the flocs or flocs, obtaining a cost-benefit when implementing them, will be deepened. It is worth mentioning that these two steps are the most important in the purification of water because after that nothing can be done to correct the quality of the water. Also, this research is focused on seeking the implementation of new renewable energy sources that allow reducing environmental pollution. |
