We present a clinical case of a Samoyed male canine that was admitted to the clinic for presentation of consecutive vomiting and palpable painless abdominal mass in the mesogastric region. A complete physical examination was performed and diagnostic aids were used as a blood picture, biochemical profile (ALT, creatinine, BUN, alkaline phosphatase, lacto dehydrogenase and albumin), Rx sampling and exploratory laparotomy xifoparaprepucial in the veterinary clinic Mascovet of the city Cúcuta in the department of Norte de Santander. Additionally, an extensive histopathological study was carried out with photos in the Veterinary Pathological Corporation of the city of Bogotá D.C. The most relevant pre-surgical haematological findings were polycythemia and marked leukocytosis; on the other hand postsurgical examinations revealed a marked increase in BUN, creatinine (azotemia), lactate dehydrogenase, hypoglycemia and finally thrombocytopenia. Macroscopically during laparotomy it was possible to visualize that the mass involved the entire right kidney, was mobile, dark purple, smooth surface and weight of 3.80 kg, which was extirpated by means of a total unilateral nephrectomy and finally by means of histopathology was diagnosed the malignant renal tumor of mesenchymal origin. After the total nephrectomy procedure, the patient presented an increase in temperature, elevation of nitrogen compounds and ischemia / reperfusion syndrome, triggering deathes_CO
