dc.description | La formulación hamiltoniana de la relatividad general en el formalismo de segundo orden lleva a las variables ADM (Arnowitt - Deser - Misner), donde la dinámica de la teoría está codificada en la “evolución” de la métrica de las 3-geometrías que folian el espacio-tiempo. Por otro lado, uno puede desarrollar el análisis canónico de la acción de Palatini (o Holst), la cual constituye una formulación de primer orden de la relatividad general donde el campo gravitacional es representado no por un tensor métrico, sino por un marco ortonormal junto con una conexión de Lorentz. Ya sea eliminando las constricciones de segunda clase o sin introducirlas en el proceso, uno obtiene un espacio de fases parametrizado por variables manifiestamente covariantes de Lorentz sujetas a la constricción de Gauss, la de difeomorfismos y la escalar. Estas dos últimas deben estar asociadas con las que surgen en el formalismo ADM, por lo que encontrar la relación precisa entre ambas formulaciones canónicas de la relatividad general se hace necesario. Esta tesis constituye un primer paso para establecer esta relación. Con este fin, en este trabajo se realiza el análisis canónico de la acción de Palatini en n-dimensiones (para n > 2) con constante cosmológica, que involucra solo constricciones de primera clase (siguiendo de cerca el método desarrollado en [1]). Esto es corroborado explícitamente a través del cálculo del álgebra de constricciones de la teoría, mostrando que esta cierra y es consistente. Finalmente, se lleva a cabo el conteo de grados de libertad físicos de la teoría y se encuentra que coinciden con los de la formulación ADM. | es_CO |
