    dc.descriptionINTRODUCCIÓN: Existen numerosos métodos para la exploración de las alteración de la deglución, algunos de tipo objetivo y otros de tipo subjetivo. No obstante, los dispositivos de medición de la deglución tienen limitaciones en disponibilidad, poca seguridad e inconvenientes como resultado de las pruebas cuantitativas. Recientemente se ha sugerido al sonar Doppler como un método complementario para el diagnóstico clínico que podría constituir un sistema de alerta precoz para la identificación de pacientes con alto riesgo de aspiración y/o penetración laríngea. Se fundamenta en la captura, almacenamiento y análisis de los sonidos de la deglución durante la fase faríngea, para el análisis se tiene en cuenta 3 parámetros acústicos, intensidad, frecuencia y tiempo. MÉTODOS: Se llevó a cabo la estandarización de las viscosidades, además se analizó el parámetro acústico de la duración de la deglución en cuanto a género, volumen y viscosidad RESULTADOS: se evidencio diferencias significativas en viscosidades y volúmenes entre géneros, sin embargo, no se evidenció significancia entre viscosidad y volúmenes por género ANÁLISIS Y DISCUSIÓN: La duración de la deglución evaluada con sonar Doppler, depende de la viscosidad y la fluidez, así mismo su análisis acústicos se ha realizado con diferentes softwares, lo que ha proporcionado diferentes resultados en los últimos 20 años. CONCLUSIONES: Los resultados encontrados en esta investigación discrepan de los reportados en la literatura posiblemente debido al tamaño de la muestra, las viscosidades o los instrumentos utilizados para la captura y análisis de la duración de la deglución.es_CO
    dc.description.abstractINTRODUCTION: There are numerous methods for the exploration of swallowing alterations, some of the objective type and others of the subjective type. However, swallowing measuring devices have limitations in availability, poor safety and inconvenience as a result of quantitative testing. Doppler sonar has recently been suggested as a complementary method for clinical diagnosis that could constitute an early warning sys0074em for the identification of patients at high risk of aspiration and/or laryngeal penetration. It is based on the capture, storage and analysis of swallowing sounds during the pharyngeal phase. For the analysis, 3 acoustic parameters, intensity, frequency and time are taken into account. METHODS: Viscosity standardization was carried out, in addition the acoustic parameter of swallowing duration was analyzed in terms of gender, volume and viscosity. RESULTS: significant differences were evidenced in viscosities and volumes between genders, however, no significance was evidenced between viscosity and volumes by gender ANALYSIS AND DISCUSSION: The duration of the swallowing evaluated with Doppler sonar, depends on viscosity and fluidity, likewise its acoustic analysis has been performed with different software, which has provided different results in the last 20 years. CONCLUSIONS: The results found in this investigation differ from those reported in the literature possibly due to the size of the sample, the viscosities or the instruments used for the capture and analysis of the swallowing duration.es_CO
